Ring Camera Demos Drone That Patrols Homes at Tech Event in Las Vegas
A content creator focused on technology captured footage of Ring’s Always Home Cam while at the CES 2023 tech event on January 8.
Ian Zelbo posted the video to Twitter with the caption, “Ring drone patrols your house… the future is weird, y’all.”
He told Storyful he thought the drone was “pretty cool,” but added that, “a lot of people were confused on the purpose.”
The video shows the drone moving, and loudly buzzing, around a set resembling a home.
According to Ring’s website, the camera is intended for security purposes, and is meant to be used when no one is home. The drone is not yet available for purchase, and will be released in limited quantity. Credit: Ian Zelbo via Storyful
