This Ring of Honor broadcaster ties it all together with her unique look and unique talents

A unique talent in today’s pro wrestling industry, the only thing cookie cutter about Quinn McKay is her New Year’s Resolution to become a baker.

McKay, sporting smart-looking glasses and an array of fashionable bow ties which color coordinate with her elaborate attire, is a broadcaster and backstage interviewer for Ring of Honor. Sometimes she’s interviewing the stars of ROH in her own adorable manner and other times she’s working side-by-side with solid lead commentator Ian Riccaboni calling the action.

Those are just a couple of hats (or ties) that the creative McKay wears through her young but yet already impressive journey.

Pro wrestler, TV broadcaster, radio personality, public relations, power lifter, theater, anthropology, Buffy fan, mozzarella stick enthusiast and upcoming baker, this is Quinn McKay: Renaissance Woman 2020.

In my audio interview with her, she discusses broadcasting, wrestling, roller derby, favorite bow tie, Ian Riccaboni, theater, Buffy, Danhausen and more.

McKay is willing to take chances, and so far it’s paying off.

In March in Delaware as a newcomer pro wrestler, McKay opened eyes by winning the ECWA Super 8 Chickfight Tournament, besting a good field that included Scarlett Bordeaux, Gabby Ortiz and Zoe Skye. Past tournament winners were Tessa Blanchard, Deonna Purrazzo and Karen Q.

McKay is interested in competing in the ring again (maybe one day), but her focus these days is her work on mic, helping elevate others, entertaining fans and having fun.

The bow ties that bind

ROH in January

Saturday Night at Center Stage in Atlanta: https://www.rohwrestling.com/live/events/11120-saturday-night-center-stage-atlanta-ga

The main event is a rematch between Ring of Honor champ PCO and former champ RUSH.

And Danhausen will be there.

Maybe he will become champion of the television.

Sunday: Honor Reigns Supreme in Concord, N.C.: https://www.rohwrestling.com/live/events/11220-honor-reigns-supreme-concord-nc

A solid card.

Danhausen will be there, too.

ROH Giving Back

Quinn McKay and Mandy Leon were part of a group from Ring of Honor that visited the Boys & Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore—Brooklyn O’Malley Club in December.

ROH later hosted 15 kids from that Boys & Girls Club at ROH Final Battle, which occurred live from the UMBC Event Center in Baltimore.
