This new Ringgold, Georgia, antique shop is inspired by screen siren Jean Harlow

Sep. 14—Dalton resident Lorie McCamy Headrick is fulfilling a longtime dream with the opening of House of Harlow Antiques in Ringgold.
"I always loved antiques since I was a little girl, and I always wanted my own shop," Headrick said.
She didn't want that shop to look like an antique store, so she found a house that's an antique itself to house her new store. The more-than-a-century-old former parsonage of Ringgold First Baptist Church was moved to its current location on Cleveland Street, she said.
The store's name is inspired by 1930s starlet Jean Harlow, known as the original "blonde bombshell," whom Headrick has always admired.
"[Harlow] likes the same sort of things," she said of the store's offerings.
Items for sale include many of her belongings, as well as pieces she acquired from estate sales and friends, said Headrick, who describes her style as eclectic.
"I have a lot of 18th-century stuff, mainly furniture," she said, adding she also sells purses from brands including Michael Kors and collectibles such as Staffordshire dogs.
