Ringo Starr’s son Zak Starkey marries longtime love after 18 years

And he loves her.

Ringo Starr’s son, Grammy-winning drummer Zak Starkey, and his longtime partner, Australian artist and musician Sharna “Sshh” Liguz, got married this week, the couple confirmed on Instagram.

The newlyweds, who share a daughter born last year, announced the wedding on their accounts, noting it took place this past Monday, “on the day of the first birthday of their moonchild, Luna Lee Lightnin.”

“Great to be solid with the greatest girl in the world,” Starkey, 56, captioned the wedding announcement. “And to celebrate Luna’s no1 birthday. Thanks to everyone who came from near far wide abstract and online. Our dearest friends in da USA- great to see u at our wedding and experience true party stamina . Feels great to be wed to the woman I have loved for 18 years.”

Liguz in her post said the wedding was “a double celebration of love life & all the blessings bestowed pon us,” she continued. “So grateful for our family. Locked & loaded & ready to roll with love @therealzakstarkey.”

Sharing photos from the happy day, Liguz said the occasion was a representation of “Love on Love on Love.”

Starkey was previously married to Sarah Menikides, with whom he shares 36-year-old daughter, bass player Tatia Jayne Starkey. Through Tatia, Starkey is a grandfather.
