'Rise and shine': American flight attendant channels Kylie Jenner, sings to passengers

If American Airlines passengers weren't familiar with the viral video of Kylie Jenner singing "rise and shine" to her 1-year-old daughter Stormi, they should be now.

Passengers on a recent red-eye flight from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. got a Jenner-inspired wake up call when a flight attendant, 25-year-old Cameron Blackmon, sang "rise and shine" to them over the intercom upon landing.

"Doing the lord’s work this morning on the red eye in from LAX. RuhISE & SHIyNE babes," Blackmon wrote in a tweet, which included video of his loudspeaker moment. The tweet has more than 34,000 retweets and 208,000 likes (and the video has more than 2.4 million views) as of Monday morning.

The original clip of Jenner surfaced after she shared a video on YouTube of herself giving a tour of her Kylie Cosmetics office. All was well and quiet, until Twitter got a hold of it.

"Riiiiiiseee and shiiiiiine," Jenner sings in her best a capella as she walks into Stormi's room.

Blackmon can be heard singing "rise and shine" in the same style as Jenner, before welcoming passengers to Dulles and letting them now the local time at 6:03 a.m.

"Many were smiling, regardless of getting the joke or not," Blackmon told USA TODAY. "I had a lady that worked with an entertainment agency on the flight compliment the nod to mainstream media and Kylie."

"I feel like many airline passengers have gotten so used to the basics of flying that when they hear something out of the ordinary such as me singing 'rise and shine,' it puts a smile on their face," Blackmon added. "I love what I do and enjoy when I am able to brighten the day of my passengers."
