• We journalists don't take much at face value. So when The Daily News was tagged in a social media post that alleged Rogers High students were to blame for painting the Islander Spirit Rock on the Middletown High campus, I went looking for answers.
What I found out through official channels was the rival Vikings had nothing to do with it. You can read my story here.

• Speaking of the Kennedy wedding, when we were cleaning out The Daily News office at Malbone Road a few years back, we came across a box of old negatives. For what it's worth, the Patriots tend to struggle in Miami — especially early in the season — and things won't change this weekend: Dolphins win 24-20.
