Rise & Shine! Your Newport County guide for June 13

Rise & Shine! I’m Scott Barrett, managing editor for The Daily News, and today is June 13, the 164th day of the year — 201 days remain in 2022. On this day 1966, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its decision in Miranda v. Arizona, establishing the principle all criminal suspects must be advised of their rights before interrogation.

Where in Newport County?

55-57 Bellevue Avenue in Newport.

The "Thomas Building" is located at 55-57 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, which now houses Spring Bull Gallery and Miniature Occasions and Dolls. Why is it called the Thomas Building? Not a clue. Couldn't find one piece of online evidence in my research. Kudos to to Mary Ellen Atkins, the only person to get this one right.
