Rise'n Roll Bakery now offers new cake doughnuts for National Donut Day

In celebration of National Donut Day on June 3, Middlebury-based bakery Rise'n Roll Bakery has added new cake doughnut options to its menu.

Beginning Friday, the bakery will offer Old Fashioned Sour Cream, Old Fashioned Blueberry, and Old Fashioned Chocolate, with more flavors to come. Although the bakery is best known for its its signature yeast-based doughnuts, most notably the cinnamon caramel flavor, the new options will mark the first time the bakery has offered cake doughnuts.

“This is a long-awaited release,” said Peter Armstrong, the chief financial officer, in a release. “Our fans have really been asking for a long time and we wanted to get this right and make them proud.”

Now through Saturday, June 4, the cake donuts will be available at all 16 Rise'n Roll in-store locations for free sampling, one per customer until supplies last. They will then be available for sale beginning June 7.

Rise'n Roll Bakery has locations in Avon, Broad Ripple, Cedar Lake, Elkhart, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Greenwood, Indianapolis, Mishawaka, Middlebury, Nappanee, Plymouth, Schererville, Valparaiso and Warsaw.
