One of the biggest games produced by MAGIC Spell Studios at the Rochester Institute of Technology is now available on Steam.

Steam is a gaming distribution service where players can download, create and discuss their favorites. With games like Sims 4, Apex Legends and Five Nights at Freddy’s, Steam is a free software that is fit for all ages.

"That Damn Goat" is a project that has been in the works since May 2020. Magic Production Associate and game producer, Aaron Nieboer saw this as a great opportunity for students. With work from over 40 students and faculty, this project has brought together all nine colleges.

“This game was meant to give students an opportunity to work on something that was going to be released into the marketplace. So, the fact that we’re at the stage of wishlisting and purchasing helps people to get excited about this and starts to validate the work that we’ve done,” says Nieboer, according to RIT News.

Cost: $6

How to play the game:

In the game, four players battle to hold the crown the longest. The game gets its name from the main character, the goat, which has the power to randomly create changes in the game. Players can compete against each other either locally in the same room or remotely through Steam’s Remote Play Together system.

The game is only available on Windows 10 system and requires a remote controller.
