River View BOE Notes

WARSAW − The River View Local Schools Board of Education met in regular session recently to conduct routine business of the district.

The district received more than $10,000 in donations in February with the majority being for the RV Families campaign. Money was also received for new playground equipment and a new ice machine for the athletic department.

Darcy Miller, tour coordinator, is planning a trip to New York City for March 2024 for juniors and seniors. An agreement was approved between the district and Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center to provide tutoring services for district students at the Anchor Christian Academy. A College Credit Plus agreement was approved between the district and Columbus State College.

Michael Gray will retire as a high school teacher after 26 years of service on June 30. A Warsaw staff member was granted Family Medical Leave Act leave from Feb. 9 to March 6. Connie Johnson is retiring as payroll clerk on Jan. 31, 2024.

Marty Bice resigned as head varsity girls basketball coach. Rebecca Hartstock will resign from food service at Keene Elementary on May 26.
