River View's Bowman to play soccer for Marietta

Kelsey Bowman, daughter of Wendy and Butch Bowman, signed her letter of intent to play soccer for Marietta College where she will pursue a business degree. She is a four-year soccer letterman, a three-year track letterman, and one-year basketball letterman.

Bowman has competed with United football club for four years and Cleveland football club for one year prior to COVID. She is currently training with Ohio Strikers United.

In 2018, Bowman was nominated class president and freshman homecoming attendant and served as the Council President of Ohio Modeled United Nations. She has been an active member of the student council and National Honor Society for two years. She has served three years in the Spanish Honor Society and has participated in Ohio Modeled United Nations for five years.

Bowman was chosen to serve as this year's Vice President at Senior Ohio Modeled United Nations. She also served as secretary of the Nike Club in 2019, holding the position of Vice President for the last two years, and she was voted 2021 homecoming queen.

Bowman has been a member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church for the last eight years and has volunteered at their annual soup and veteran’s supper, ice cream socials, and operation of their audio system. She has been an active guest in the Business Professional Womens’ Foundation for four years. She has completed over 100 hours of community service, achieved a community service and academic letter, and took part in College Credit Plus at Zane State.
