Former Riverdale star Lili Reinhart has shared an update on her new TV series.

On Instagram, the Betty Cooper actress posted behind-the-scenes photos from filming Hal & Harper, teasing her scenes with writer, director and star Cooper Raiff.

Reinhart also hinted that Hal & Harper will be released "sometime in 2024".

It was confirmed in August 2023 that the show will feature Marvel actor Mark Ruffalo, Startup's Addison Timlin and American Horror Stories star Havana Rose Liu.

Back in 2020, Raiff shared that Hal & Harper is about a single dad whose troubles raising his two children leads to them literally growing up too quickly.

Raiff had his breakthrough with the 2020 film Shithouse and most recently wrote, directed and starred in Sundance Film Festival hit Cha Cha Real Smooth, which stars Fifty Shades of Grey's Dakota Johnson and Let It Snow's Odeya Rush.

Reinhart wrapped up work on Riverdale last year and reunited with former co-stars Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch to cosplay as Batman characters last Halloween.

She reflected on the end of the series a few months back, admitting that it wasn't always easy to deal with the absurdity of Riverdale's storylines.

"It's really not been easy to feel that you're the butt of a joke. We all want to be actors; we're passionate about what we do," she said.

"So when the absurdity of our show became a talking point, it was difficult."

Aside from Riverdale, Reinhart has also starred in the Jennifer Lopez crime movie Hustlers, Prime Video's romantic drama Chemical Hearts and the Netflix rom-com Look Both Ways.

Riverdale aired on The CW in the US for seven seasons. In the UK, you can stream it via Netflix.
