Friendsgiving igloo package at Riverhouse

Igloo season is back! Riverhouse, 260 W. Water St., Taunton is kicking things off with a Friendsgiving igloo package. The cost is $62 per person, and it includes: two appetizers per party; one bottle of wine per party; one cheese board per party; one entree of your choice per person; and one dessert of your choice per person. Parties must be a minimum of four people; maximum of eight people. This menu excludes brunch. Reservations are required. Sarcastic Swine BBQ closing Middleboro location

After opening up earlier this year, Sarcastic Swine BBQ has announced that they are closing their location on Wareham Street in Middleboro. They made the announcement in a Facebook post: “Despite our best efforts, we have faced challenges in attracting the level of foot traffic and customers needed to sustain this particular location,” they wrote. “We understand the disappointment this may bring to some of you who have supported us in this area, and we sincerely appreciate your patronage.” The last day for their Middleboro location will be Friday, Nov. 24. Their Abington location (988 Bedford St.) will remain open, and they plan for their food truck to make appearances in the Middleboro area. “This way,” they wrote, “we can still serve our delicious dishes to our loyal customers in the area.”

Tropical Llama celebrates second anniversary

The owners of Tropical Llama, 1470 New State Hwy., Raynham, are celebrating: the restaurant's second anniversary is on Sunday, Nov. 19. Keep up with them on Facebook for all of their latest updates, as they're always cooking up something new, and offering all kinds of specials. Right now, there's still time to place an order with them for Thanksgiving (deadline Nov. 18), and this holiday season they've got chocolate truffles. Or try some of their specials: stewed pork ribs on Wednesday; fish in coconut sauce on Thursday; sancocho and rotisserie chicken on Friday; and pork shoulder and Cuban sandwiches on Saturday.

Thanksgiving orders at GuChanYa Pastry

You’ve got until Sunday, Nov. 19, to place your Thanksgiving order at GuChanYa Pastry, 219 School St., Taunton. For pies, choose from: apple, blueberry, pumpkin, or pecan. For bread, they’re offering Portuguese rolls, finger rolls, and dinner rolls. Order pick-up is on Wednesday, Nov. 22. For more information, call 774-365-1011.

New sweet treats at Society Coffee Bar

Grab a sweet treat with your coffee, with some new offerings at Society Coffee Bar, 260 Broadway, Taunton. They’ve got pistachio, chocolate peanut butter pie, and brown sugar pecan cupcakes; gluten free pumpkin whoopie pies; gluten free fudge and peanut butter fudge brownies; and chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and kitchen sink cookies.

Comedy night at Crue Brew Brewery

Stop by Crue Brew Brewery, 95 Ryan Dr., Raynham, for an evening of laughter. They’re hosting a comedy night on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Headlined by Danny Kelly and hosted by Ted Sellers, and including comedians Mike Babalato, Joe Buckley and Allison Dyen, it promises to be a night filled with brews and lots of laughs. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be found on Eventbrite.
