Riverside Christian School celebrates 40th anniversary with fundraising banquet

Nov. 4—GRAND FORKS — Riverside Christian School will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a fundraising banquet Monday, Nov. 7, at the Alerus Center.

The banquet will feature guest speaker Nick Hall, a former student. The founder and president of Pulse, he is an evangelist and author of the book "Reset." Pulse is a Minneapolis-based organization dedicated to spreading the gospel through live events, digital ministry and training for young evangelists and leaders.

As an evangelist voice to this generation, Hall has shared the gospel with more than 300 million people, said Sheri Moonen, the school's admissions, marketing and special events coordinator.

The event will also include an alumni social, silent auction and a performance by fourth- and fifth-graders.

Riverside Christian School, which started as Shema Christian School in 1982, provides a Christian education to the youth of the Grand Cities, Moonen said. More than 240 eighth-grade students have graduated from the school, which, this year, has a record enrollment of 234 in grades preK-12.
