Riverside County Sees 18 Coronavirus-Related Deaths In 24 Hours

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — There are 764 new cases of the coronavirus in Riverside County as of Thursday, according to newly released county health department data, bringing the county's total case count to 39,741.

There were 18 additional deaths reported on Thursday, bringing the total number of coronavirus-related deaths in the county to 770, according to the Riverside University Health System.

As of Thursday, there are currently 415 hospitalized COVID-19 patients, including 128 patients in intensive care. The county has tested 380,581 people and 20,774 patients have recovered.

The county has seen 2,728 coronavirus cases in long term care facilities patients and staff, with 1,656 patient cases and 1,072 staff cases.

The breakdown in county cases by age is as follows:

  • 0-4: 654 cases

  • 5-17: 2,685 cases

  • 18-39: 16,753 cases

  • 40-64: 13,969 cases

  • 65-79: 3,046 cases

  • 80+: 1,118 cases
