One of the most popular outdoor recreation destinations in Oklahoma City's Boathouse District is ushering in the summer with a part-festival/part-tournament event Saturday.

Riversport OKC will host "Bluegrass, BBQ & Brews" at 800 Riversport Drive, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 3.

Guests are invited to enjoy barbecue offerings, beer specials, and live music — along with the adventure park's mainstays like whitewater rafting and the SandRidge SkyTrail — throughout the afternoon.

Organizers also encourage participants to register online for a cornhole tournament, scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in front of the McClendon White Water Center. Winners will receive free prizes, and entry is free as well.

The Bottom of the Barrel, an Oklahoma City-based bluegrass band, is set to perform between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., continuing Riversport's 2023 Summer Music Series.

Passes for Riversports' various "adventures" — including rowing, surfing and tubing — can be purchased online or at the Whitewater Center's front desk.
