Roaches, rat droppings observed in latest Dallas health inspections of restaurants

Roaches and rat droppings were observed in the latest Dallas health inspections, according to city data. One restaurant failed, but there were no closures.

There were 908 inspections from Feb. 15 to March 14. Dallas releases its inspection data monthly on the 14th of each month.

Dallas inspection data is on a 100-point system that is different from Fort Worth. A score range of 90-100 is considered to be very good, and the next inspection is the regular six-month inspection. Scores of 80-89 are considered good with the same next six-month inspection window. Scores of 70-79 are passing and requires re-inspection within 30 days. Scores of 60-69 are failing and require follow-up inspections within 10 days or closure. Anything under 60 is unacceptable and requires closure and inspection before reopening.

The Dallas inspection report lists all violations, but does not indicate if a restaurant was closed for any serious violations.

No restaurant scored under 60 in the latest Dallas inspections.

Wulf Burgers at 5331 East Mockingbird Lane was the only restaurant that failed, receiving a score of 68.
