Police investigation in Lancaster County closed road

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Police activity in Lancaster County closed off an area for an investigation on Saturday, according to police.

East Hempfield Township Police said officers responded to the 100 block of Madge Drive just before 10:30 a.m. for a reported weapons offense and upon arriving there was evidence that a shooting had just happened.

After an investigation, police were able to determine the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing, police say.

Police are looking for Damon Daniel, 43, who they say is a person of interest in the investigation. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact them at (717)-898-3103.

Manor Township Police, Manheim Township Police and K-9 and LEMSA assisted Hempfield Township Police at the scene. An abc27 news photographer was also there.

The road was closed for a couple of hours as police investigated but it has been reopened.
