Road closures, parking restrictions start today in West Palm Beach ahead of SunFest

A series of road closures will begin today in West Palm Beach in advance of SunFest, which runs April 28 through May 1.

These streets will be closed to traffic beginning at 9 a.m. They are scheduled to reopen at 6 p.m. May 4.

* Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Lakeview Avenue

* Narcissus Avenue between Evernia and Datura streets

* North Clematis Street between Lantana Avenue and Flagler Drive

* Evernia Street between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive

* South Clematis Street between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive

* Datura Street between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive

* Fern Street between Olive Avenue and Flagler Drive

Also, no on-street parking will be allowed on north and south Clematis Street east of Narcissus; 100 Block of Datura Street; and Narcissus Street between Datura and Evernia streets.

On Friday, on-street parking will be halted in the Palm Beach Post Centennial Park parking lot and the 100 block of Fern Street.

Docks off Flagler will be closed Thursday through May 4.

The downtown West Palm Beach music festival was cancelled the past two years because of the pandemic. Among the acts booked for the festival's return are the Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows, Lil Wayne, Melissa Etheridge and Adam Lambert.
