Road closures: Round-a-bout at South Main Street and Depot Avenue closed through Aug. 19

The round-a-bout at South Main Street and Depot Avenue is closed due to a stormwater pipe failure, according to the city of Gainesville's Public Works Department Facebook page.

The repair will also require closure to northbound and eastbound traffic through Aug. 19. Traffic will be detoured via Southeast 10th Avenue and Southeast Fourth Street.

Ongoing Closures:

• Closure of Southeast Second Place between Main Street and Southeast First Street until Aug. 13.

• Closure of Northwest Second Avenue between Northwest 16th Street and 17th Street until the end of August.

• Closure of Northwest Fifth Avenue between Northwest 10th Terrace & Northwest 12th Street until the end of August.

• Closure of Southwest Ninth Terrace between Southwest First Avenue and University Avenue due to the construction of a new development. Construction is expected to last through August 2023.

• 1600-1700 Block of Northwest Second Avenue will be closed until the end of August 2022 to allow for construction of a new development at the site of the old Swamp Restaurant.
