Corral was driving a gray 2012 Honda Accord eastbound on I-10 when investigators suspect he became involved in a confrontation with another vehicle on the freeway that might have started near Hawkins Boulevard in the area of Cielo Vista Mall and continued for miles to the exit to Loop 375, Crime Stoppers said.

During the rolling confrontation, the driver or a passenger of another vehicle fired a gun at Corral, fatally wounding him, police said.

Police officers responding to a call of a car stopped on the highway found Corral dead in his vehicle at about 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, after his car came to a stop on the on-ramp to Loop 375 from I-10 East, police said.
