Roads Closed in Connecticut Amid Dangerous Flood Conditions

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall shut down Connecticut State Route 272 and damaged “numerous” town roads in Norfolk, officials said on Monday morning, July 10.

A local declaration of emergency was issued for Norfolk. Photos show conditions in the area of Smith Road.

“We are trying to go door to door to check in with as many folks as possible,” the department of emergency management said on Twitter. “Please avoid the area and do not cross any barriers that are in place.”
