What roads are closing in Myrtle Beach for the Carolina Country Music Fest and when?

The Seventh annual Carolina Country Music Fest is just around the corner, Thursday, June 8 - Sunday, June 11, 2023.

The East Coast’s largest 4-day outdoor country music fest.

WHEN: Thursday, June 8 | Gates open at 3 p.m. and close at 11:30 p.m.

Friday - Sunday, June 9 - 11 | Gates open at 1 p.m. and close at 11:30 p.m.

Here is some traffic information if you are going to the Music Fest or trying to avoid it.

Road Closures

  • Beach access at 8th Avenue North will be closed for vendor use throughout the fest, as well as the right turning lane from 9th Avenue to Kings Highway.

  • Pedestrian barricades will be placed between 7th Avenue North and 9th Avenue North.

  • Kings Highway will be one lane during the fest. The boulevard will be closed from 8th-9th Avenue North.

  • Side streets will be closed, but officers will monitor posts allowing people into businesses.

  • Police will be using hydro-barricades. Message boards will be located throughout the city is encouraging drivers to use Grissom Parkway and Highway 31.

Ride share Riders

If you go to the Festival, there will be a ride-share service and shuttle buses to get to and from the festival this year.

  • Rideshare pick-up and drop-off will be held on Chester Street between Mr. Joe White Avenue & 12th Avenue N. Northbound traffic on Chester Street will be blocked off to allow for both sides of Chester Street to be used for ride-share traffic.

Ride Share Drivers

To help the with traffic flow, please note the following changes to standard traffic patterns:

  • Chester Street ride-share traffic will flow southbound on Chester to the drop-off/pick-up area, located on Chester Street between Mr. Joe White Avenue & 12th Avenue N.

  • All ride-share traffic will exit onto Mr. Joe White Avenue

Parking Shuttle

  • Parking shuttle will continue to have the pick-up/drop-off area adjacent to the parking deck at the corner 9th Avenue N. & Chester Street.

  • Parking pass holders can park their vehicles at the old Myrtle Beach Mall parking lot, located at 2400 North Oak Street. Parking shuttle services will run continuously throughout the day and is only a few minutes from the festival.

  • Print your parking pass at home; it will be scanned daily.

  • Purchase a 4 day parking pass and stay covered throughout the festival

  • The parking lot will be open on Thursday evening from 5 - 12 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 12 p.m. - 12 a.m.
