Roads icy after snow in northern Kansas
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Several slide-offs have been reported on roads and highways across northern Kansas. Snow moved through the area overnight, causing slushy and snow-packed roads.
On Interstate 70, west of Salina, Kansas Highway Patrol troopers are working a crash involving a Fed-Ex semi and another semi.
Another trooper worked a crash on Highway 183 in the Hays area Friday morning. The KHP said nobody was hurt.
Further northwest, the Gove and Sheridan County Sheriff’s Offices said roads are slick, icy, and snow-packed. Sheridan County says there have been several slide-offs on Kansas Highway 23 south of Hoxie.
KHP troopers are reminding residents to buckle up and slow down for the conditions.
