Roads in Red Lodge, Montana, Closed as Flooding Hits Yellowstone Area

Severe flooding in the Yellowstone area on Monday, June 13, left many roads inaccessible in Red Lodge, Montana, a city that touts its status as a “base camp” for visitors to the national park.

Footage shows Rock Creek, a 52-mile river, overflowing into town and damaging roads. According to Carbon County officials on Facebook, all roads out of town were closed except for one.

The city also instituted a mandatory boil-water order due to a line break that contaminated the water system, according to officials. Credit: @Norseman on YT via Storyful
