Kansas native and KU alum Rob Riggle made his pick for the Jayhawks' game against TCU on College GameDay.

Would the former Marine and ardent Kansas fan go against his beloved Jayhawks?

Of course not.

Riggle picked Kansas to beat TCU on Saturday, just minutes before the game began.

Joining Riggle on GameDay was Desmond Howard, host Rece Davis, David Pollack, Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit. The rest of the panel was split − Howard and Herbstreit took TCU, while McAfee chose the Jayhawks.

This set the stage for Riggle.

"It's a new era here in Kansas," Riggle said. "Coach Leipold's got this thing going.

"They have a new standard, they have a new expectation, and they're here making it happen. We want this so bad in Kansas. It's time. Kansas Jayhawks, baby!"

“College GameDay” came to Lawrence for the first time ahead of KU football’s game against TCU. The No. 17 Jayhawks are looking to go 6-0 when they take on the undefeated Horned Frogs, who are ranked No. 18 in this week's USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.
