BOYNE FALLS ― An unusual winter with higher-than-average January temperatures has left the Northern Michigan ski teams with little to work with as far as training time

However, once the snow started falling, it was time to get to work.

This week, the Gaylord teams were in action, hosting the latest Big North Conference meet at Boyne Mountain on Thursday, January 26, and came home with some stellar results.

The Traverse City West teams ended up victorious in both races, but it was a good day for both the boys team and individuals as Jack Robel and Keaton Abraham helped the boys to a second place finish in the giant slalom and fourth place finish overall.
