Robert Moses Middle School Student Tests Positive For COVID-19

NORTH BABYLON, NY — Some staff and students have gone into quarantine after a student at Robert Moses Middle School tested positive for the coronavirus, the district announced on Friday.

According to a letter from Superintendent Glen Eschbach, officials were notified that the student, who was grouped in Cohort A, tested positive for the virus.

"Although students have been wearing masks and maintaining 6 foot social distancing, out of an abundance of caution, we are mandating any staff or student who has had contact with the student to be placed on quarantine," Eschbach wrote in the letter.

Earlier this week, the district officials announced that two night employees at North Babylon High School also tested positive for COVID-19. Those employees did not have any contact with students.
