NAME – Tanner Stowe

SCHOOL – Minerva Middle School

RESIDENCE – Minerva

AGE – 12

PARENTS – Jessica and Dan Stowe

SIBLINGS – Macy Stowe

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES – Student Council, Academic Challenge, Yearbook, Band, and an after-school club.

NOMINATION – “Tanner is an active part of the student group that helps raise money for the Children of St. Jude's and (Minerva Middle School) Student Council. Tanner is an excellent role model for MMS. He definitely puts 100% into whatever he sets out to accomplish. I have witnessed his caring nature helping students whether it is picking up a dropped pencil/book in the hallway or explaining an assignment to someone who was absent. His attention to details when completing assignments/assessments does not go unnoticed.”

PLEASE TELL US WHY YOU PERFORMED THE ACT OF KINDNESS – It makes me feel good to help others. Helping people usually makes them feel good too. Sometimes people help me and they don’t realize how much it meant to me, so I hope that I can do that for other people too. Why I help St Jude is because there are so many kids that should get the chance to live a life like I do. If I can do activities to help raise money then it can help towards their treatment.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE VIDEO GAME, BOOK OR TV SHOW? – My favorite video game is Madden 2023, my favorite book is “The Transall Saga,” and my favorite TV show is “Stranger Things.”

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? – I would like to be a teacher. I think it would be cool to be one of the fun teachers. I have some teachers that make learning fun and that’s what I’d want to be too. It would be nice to have the summer off also.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT SCHOOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE? – I think I’d try to help change things to where kids had better attitudes. Sometimes it seems like we want to be cool instead of just have fun and be a kid. I think if we just have good attitudes then we can get along better and everyone could enjoy each other and school more.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND HOW WOULD YOU USE IT TO CHANGE THE WORLD? – I would have the ability to see the future. I could use it to change the world because I could see things before they happen and do what I can to prevent them.
