New Rochelle Honors Fire Captain Who Died From COVID-19

Family and fellow firefighters attended a ceremony at Fire Station 1, where a monument honoring Andrew DiMaggio was unveiled.

- Fire captain who lost his life after being exposed to coronavirus on the job was honored today in New Rochelle. Family and fellow firefighters attended a ceremony at fire station one. As a monument honoring Andrew DiMaggio was unveiled. He died a year ago today. He was 57 years old. DiMaggio was with the fire department for three decades and served as a training officer for New Rochelle in Westchester County. Fire station one also dedicated a rescue rig in his memory.
