Rochester-Bridgewater Bridge to experience lane restrictions on Friday for pothole repairs

ROCHESTER — Motorists planning to use the Rochester-Bridgewater Bridge this Friday may experience delays as crews start necessary repairs.

PennDOT announced that Route 4042 will experience lane restrictions on the bridge from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. as their road crews work on the bridge on Dec. 3. Flaggers will be stationed at approach to the bridge on West Madison Street to alternate the flow of traffic through a single lane on the roadway.

According to the notice, the project will fix potholes on the roadway that motorists have reported when approaching the bridge.

Motorists are advised to practice caution when driving in the area for the workers' safety. Drivers can check the condition of the road and project status live on the 511PA website and smartphone app.
