Rochester faces flood warning, power outages, and road closures
A flood warning is in effect through Saturday afternoon for the Rochester region.
The warning, which covers Monroe County, will be in effect through 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
How much rain will Rochester NY get?
Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain has fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.25 inches possible in Rochester. Some locations that will experience flooding including areas in Irondequoit, East Rochester, Fairport, Brighton and Penfield, the Weather Service said.

Power outages in Rochester NY
Earlier Friday morning, (around 9:30 p.m.) more than 1,400 Rochester, Gas and Electric Corp. customers were without power, with most of those customers located in Greece, according to the company's website. Power was restored for most RG&E customers by 10:30 a.m., with the remaining 70 customers in the dark scattered around the county - in Brighton, Webster and Greece.
Road closures due to flooding in Rochester NY
Roadways are being flooded on Friday. Motorists should avoid driving through flooded roads, the Weather Service said.
Among the roads that experienced flooding this morning was Elmgrove Road, near Deming Road, in Greece, according to Greece police. The road reopened by 10 a.m.

West Canal Road in Sweden was also closed between Redmond and County Line roads due to flooding, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
A stretch of Panorama Trail in Penfield, between Old Penfield Road and Winterset Drive, was also closed due to flooding Friday morning but reopened shortly after 10:35 a.m., deputies said.
