Rochester man accused of sexually assaulting teen

Apr. 15—ROCHESTER — A report of a missing teen led police to an arrest of Rochester man for alleged sexual assault.

Pacomio Campos-Cano, 47, faces a charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct after a teen who was reported missing Saturday, April 13, 2024, claimed he had raped her and threatened to shoot her.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police looking into a report of a missing 14-year-old responded to a call at about 7 p.m. reporting a juvenile running north on Third Avenue SE.

Police located the teen who alleged that a man had raped her after threatening to shoot her and that she was bleeding from the assault, the complaint said.

The teen told investigators she was walking when a man approached her and asked her if she had a phone. She told him she didn't but saw what looked like a pistol in his pocket. The man told her if she did not come with him, he would shoot her, the complaint alleges.

She told investigators man took her to a house in southeast Rochester and asked the teen her age. The complaint alleges he then threatened to shoot her if she did not remove her clothes. The teen told police Campos-Cano raped her and she started to bleed, according to the complaint. She went to the bathroom and changed clothes. When she saw that the man had gone outside, she then ran from the house, the complaint said.

The teen led police to the home where Campos-Cano was outside. He had blood on his hands and a search of the home yielded the teen's clothes and a bloody towel, the complaint said. Campos-Cano did not have an explanation for the blood, according to the criminal complaint.

Campos-Cano is being held in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on a $500,000 bond. His initial appearance in court is scheduled for April 17, 2024.
