Save Rollinsford’s historic Pear Yard School

ROLLINSFORD — To gauge the level of community interest in and support for preserving Rollinsford’s historic Pear Yard School, the Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (ARCH) will host an informational meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at the Colonel Paul Wentworth House on Water Street in Rollinsford. Interested persons who are not able to attend the meeting or who have additional questions are encouraged to send an email to ARCH at paulwentworthhouse@gmail.com.

FBI Profiler Julia Cowley at Dover Library

DOVER — On Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. join Special Agent Julia Cowley for a look inside FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. Cowley will discuss how she became an FBI profiler, what profiling is, and some of the most memorable cases in her career including being the lead FBI profiler on the Golden State Killer case. Songs of Emigration at the Wentworth House

ROLLINSFORD — The public is invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy Songs of Emigration, a program of traditional Irish music by Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the garden of Rollinsford’s historic Colonel Paul Wentworth House, Water Street in Rollinsford. Free and open to the public, and no pre-registration is required.  In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved indoors.

HRCU Summer Concert Series: Beer Rats

BARRINGTON — Beer Rats will perform at the HRCU Summer Concert Series at Barrington Town Center, 625 Calef Highway, on Aug. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m.

ROCHESTER — Volunteers of the Rochester Pride committee invite the LGBTQIA+ community to downtown Rochester for a free public pride celebration on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 12 to 3 p.m. on Hanson Street in downtown Rochester. RiverStones Custom Framing is hosting the seventh annual Seacoast LGBT History Project exhibit featuring the story of UNH’s Gay Student Organization. There will be a Pet Talent/Fashion Show at 1:30 p.m. with prizes from Mr. Sippy BBQ and JetPack Comics, and a collaborative art project. In addition, there will be after parties at Fallen Leaf Bistro (for adults) and Bean Me Up Café (for families).

Lila Dance Festival

ROCHESTER — Bringing live dance to the Lilac City and the greater Seacoast area, the Lila Dance Festival returns to Rochester Commons for an exciting afternoon of free outdoor performances and activities on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 2 p.m. and will include local vendors, as well as special activities for the whole family. Barnyard Beats at Triple C Stable

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — Barnyard Beats on Aug. 26 for an evening of music, barbecue, great raffles and other entertainment at Triple C Stable at 3 McLean Drive in South Berwick, Maine. Doors open at 2 p.m. and FRANK FM will be doing a live broadcast to add to the fun.
