This year, the Rochester Riverside Convention Center will be expecting big changes. As a part of the City’s ROC the Riverway program, there will be over 24 projects across the Genesee River.

These projects are meant to build the local economy, attract new jobs and “solidify our identity as a vibrant waterfront community," according to the City's website.

RRCC officials made a Facebook post with details of what’s to come. Here’s what they highlighted:

  • Repairs to structure of the existing river wall between the East Main Street Bridge and the RG&E building.

  • Expansion of the south terrace along the river’s edge to improve public access and future extensions to the Broad Street Aqueduct.

  • A new 2,000 sq. ft. event space will be built in the front of the building along Main Street. The space will feature exterior digital signing, landscaping and additional restrooms.

  • Repairs to deteriorated parts of the building and site materials
