Rock icon John Oates to headline Rochester jazz festival in 2024

Rock icon John Oates has been announced as one of the headliners for the 2024 CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival, festival organizers announced Tuesday.

Oates, best known as co-founder of Hall & Oates, is a successful guitarist, singer and songwriter with a decades-long career. A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, American Songwriters Hall of Fame, Oates, 75, has received numerous awards and topped the music charts for his work both as a solo artist as with his former bandmate Daryl Hall.

For the 2024 festival, Oates will be performing at Kodak Hall in the Eastman Theatre on Thursday, June 27 at 8 p.m.

Tickets, which go on sale on Friday, March 1, start at $43 (plus service charges) and can be purchased online at RochesterJazz.com/tickets or by calling (585) 454-2060.

This year's festival runs from June 21 to 29. Other headliners previously announced for this year's festival include Lee Ritenour Band with special guests Randy Brecker and Bill Evans, Samara Joy, Taj Mahal and LaufeyThe Laufey show has already sold out.
