Rock The Ryman: Gavin DeGraw, War & Treaty set for one-of-a-kind concert in Nashville

The Ryman Auditorium wants to rock.

Known for decades as the so-called Mother Church of Country Music, organizers at the Ryman continue to dive head-first into the world of rock 'n' roll with a new one-night concert: "Rock The Ryman." The show takes place March 1, a Wednesday night.

The bill promises to bridge rock and country music in a night paying tribute to past Rock Hall performers who held court inside the Ryman. The lineup includes pop-rock singer Gavin DeGraw, Americana duo War & Treaty and country hitmaking outfit Maddie & Tae. Nashville musician Charlie Worsham hosts the gig.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via ryman.com.

"Rock the Ryman" continues the growing list of collaborations between the Rock Hall and Nashville's 130-year-old venue. Late last year, Ryman officials renovated a wing of the building to open "Rock Hall at the Ryman," an exhibit featuring artifacts from Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Foo Fighters and other Rock Hall inductees to play the hall. In May 2022, Rock Hall leadership presented the Ryman with a historical landmark.

“More than 100 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees have performed on the Ryman’s hallowed stage throughout its 130-year history,” Greg Harris, Rock Hall president and CEO, said in a media statement. “We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with the Ryman by bringing together artists and fans for one incredible night to experience the power of rock & roll through some of Nashville’s great talent.”

More "Rock the Ryman" artists plan to be announced in the coming weeks.
