Rockdale County deputy helps save baby’s life
On Sunday, a deputy with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) helped save a baby’s life.
At about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 26, deputies responded to a call where a one-month-old child was reportedly not breathing.
The deputies were the first to respond and one began rescue CPR in the front seat of their patrol car.

Soon after, Rockdale County Fire Rescue crews arrive and took over the rescue efforts.
The baby regained a pulse and was taken to the Children’s Health Care Center.

“The quick response and actions taken by Deputy Daniel, and the Fire/ EMS personnel gave the baby a fighting chance for recovery,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
RCSO said no foul play is suspected in the incident.
