Rockers Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper bring their metal sounds to Des Moines in September

Two titans of heavy metal rock Des Moines in September at Wells Fargo Arena. Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper make a stop during their 2023 Freaks on Parade Tour on Sept. 2.

Zombie, a founding member and the front man of heavy metal band White Zombie, gained fame for songs such as “More Human Than Human,” “Living Dead Girl,” and “Thunder Kiss ’65.”

Shock rocker Alice Cooper, whose career spans five decades, is known for songs such as “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and “School’s Out.”

Industrial pioneers Ministry and eclectic alternative rock act Filter round out the late summer lineup.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at HyVeeTix.com.

The tour is part of a 19-city run that starts in Dallas on Aug. 24 and wraps up in Phoenix on Sept. 24.
