Rockford-area native Nicole Briscoe re-signs multiyear deal with ESPN

A Roscoe native will remain at ESPN for the foreseeable future.

The company announced they've re-signed Nicole Briscoe to a multiyear contract. Briscoe will continue hosting Sportscenter, Baseball Tonight and contributing to the network's F1 racing coverage, according to a news release.

While the length of the contract is unknown, it'll take Briscoe to 20 years at ESPN, a milestone that's not lost on her.

“Longevity is not something to be taken for granted, especially in our business,” Briscoe said in a news release.

People in the Rockford area may remember Briscoe as Nicole Manske, a 1998 Hononegah High School graduate and television news reporter with 13 WREX.

She went on to work at television stations in Indiana and the Speed Channel before landing a job at ESPN. She worked various roles for ESPN from 2008-2014 before joining the SportsCenter anchor desk in 2015.

In 2021, Briscoe moved from daytime and weekend editions of ESPN’s signature news and information program to the late-night edition.

Briscoe said she's looking forward to the next step in her career.

“I’m excited for about the future and look forward to finding new ways to challenge myself professionally.”
