Rockford theater rocked by illnesses, postpones 'Red Noses' debut

Opening day for "Red Noses" at the West Side Show Room theater has been rescheduled from Dec. 1 to Dec. 8 due to illness.

"Due to non-COVID illness among our cast and crew we have made the difficult decision to move the opening weekend performances of 'Red Noses' to next week," the theater posted on social media.

The play is a satire on religion and the mid-14th century, the years of the bubonic plague or the "Black Death," which killed nearly one-third of Europe's population.

The show will be performed over two consecutive four-day weekends. Show times are 7 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 4 p.m. Sundays.
