Thanks to the win, the Hooks are one game under .500 for the half at 30-31 and are 7-3 in their last 10 games. Plus, they are four games behind division-leading Frisco.

Highlights: The Hooks won the first game with one hit but also behind a solid pitching pitching performance as two Hooks pitchers (Cody Deason and Tyler Brown) combind to allow two hits and struck out five. Meanwhile, the second game delivered for drama. The Hooks entered the ninth inning down 9-4, who put up three runs in each the second, third and five innings. But in the seventh, the Hooks put up six runs as Bryan Arias hit a three-run walk-off home run to sweep the day.

Highlights: The RockHounds captured two wins by a combined two runs during Wednesday's doubleheader against the Hooks at Whataburger Field. The two teams agreed to play a doubleheader because of wet field conditions on Tuesday. Grae Kessinger and Shay Whitcomb combined for five hits, two home runs and six RBI in the two games to lead the Hooks. Corpus Christi finished with nine hits in both games with the RockHounds totaling 21 hits in the two contests to open the final home series for the Hooks at Whataburger Field.
