Rocklin native Logan Webb gets the ball first in spring training

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX40.COM) – One year ago, Logan Webb was the runner-up for the National League Cy Young Award.
Webb, a native of Rocklin, threw 216 innings for the San Francisco Giants in 2023 with a 3.25 ERA.
On Saturday, he threw two innings.
Webb had the ball for the Giants in Scottsdale, Arizona when they took the field for their first game of spring training. They played the Cubs, losing 8-4.
Logan Webb was charged with two of those runs. After a scoreless first inning, he allowed a two-out single in the second inning. Webb’s final line: 2.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 3 K.
