Are there rocks in your Trader Joe’s cookies? California grocery chain recalls two treats

East Sacramento, CA, June 30, 2023. Trader Joe’s is a big draw to area residents.

Two types of cookies have been recalled for possibly containing rocks, national supermarket chain Trader Joe’s wrote in a statement.

The California-based company pulled its Almond Windmill and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond cookies from shelves and “destroyed” them after its supplier alerted the chain of possible contaminants.

Almond Windmill cookies with a skew number of 98744 and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond cookies with a skew number of 82752 should not be eaten if they fall within the following sell-by dates:

  • Almond Windmill Cookies - Sell by Oct. 19 to Oct. 21

  • Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies - Sell by Oct. 17 to Oct. 21

“We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund,” the company wrote in a statement to customers.
