RoCo Music Fest brings big names to the area

CHILLICOTHE — Ross County is ready to get its country on as the first-ever three-day RoCo Music Fest nears. With several different big named artists coming to the fairgrounds everyone is sure to have a blast.

The event will take place from Sept. 1 to Sept. 3 with a star-studded lineup each night. On Friday, Little Texas and Jimmy Mowery will be performing with Jana Kramer headlining. On Saturday, Randy Houser and Nolan Taylor will be performing with Dustin Lynch headlining. On Sunday, Raelynn and Sweet Tea Trio will be performing with Parker McCollum headlining.

The event will take place at the Ross County Fairgrounds will partygoers having the option to camp throughout the weekend or just come for the performances. There will also be food and merchandise vendors, a beer garden and activities for kids.

Board member Kelley Vanhoose said she and several other members of the fair board wanted to bring back big named concerts to the area which is why they put this event together. As the days get closer to the weekend-long event Vanhoose said she is excited and looking forward to the fun.

"It's going to be a great time," said Vanhoose.

She enjoyed finding all the artists and putting together complementary sounds to create a grand show for each day. Looking forward, Vanhoose said she hopes the event will continue to grow every year.
