Kids Crafting – 4 p.m. Thursday. Children ages 7 to 12 are invited to Rodman Public Library to make zentangle pumpkins. All materials are free for monthly kids crafting programs, sponsored by Friends of Rodman Public Library, but space is limited and registration is required at rodmanlibrary.evanced.info/signup or by calling the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Ongoing programs

Wee Read – 630 p.m. Mondays; 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays. Rodman Public Library will host from Sept. 12 to Nov. 9. Children ages birth through age 2, and their parents or caregivers, are invited to attend. Wee Read includes stories, fingerplays, music and movement. No registration is required. For more information, call the Main Library Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Family Fun Night – 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Program will run Sept. 13 to Nov. 8 for parents or caregivers and children ages 3 to 12, and will include an entertaining and educational evening in Rodman Main Children’s Department as part of Family Fun Night. Participants will break into small groups to visit various stations to play games, complete challenges and create crafts after Storytime. No registration is required. Storytime – 10:30 p.m. Thursdays; and 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays as part of Family Fun Nights. Children ages 3-5 and their parents or caregivers are invited to Rodman Public Library. Storytime sessions are intended to encourage lifelong readers through stories, music, movement and activities. For more information, contact the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Tech Time Thursday – Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon Rodman Public Library continues to offer Tech Time Thursday every Thursday at the Main Library from 11 a.m. to noon. During that hour, a librarian is on hand to answer basic questions about your computer or electronic devices, such as cellphones, laptops and tablets. No registration required. Teen Gaming – 3 p.m. Thursday. Ages 12-18 are invited to Rodman Public Library every other Thursday to play their favorite video games on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Playstation 3 & 4, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo WiiU. Teens will have the opportunity to play a different game each week. Games with ratings from “E” for Everyone, up to “T” for Teen level will be offered. Book clubs

Teen Book Club – 4 p.m. Monday. Club meets the third Monday of each month in the conference room at the Main Library. Led by Jaime Gross, selected title for October is “City of Ghosts,” by Victoria Schwab. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 217.

True Crime Junkies – 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Book discussion group led by reference librarian Ashley Mock meets every third Tuesday of the month at the Main Library. The October selection is “Chase Darkness With Me: How One True-Crime Writer Started Solving Murders,” by Billy Jensen. Kids Book Club – 4:15 p.m. Wednesday. RPL invites children ages 8-12 to join the club, which meets the third Wednesday of each month. “Upside Down Magic,” by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle and Emily Jenkins is the selected title for October. Led by Stacy Digianantonio, meetings include a brief discussion of the book, a fun activity and a snack. RPL Evening Book Club – 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Club meets the fourth Monday of each month in the Main Library. The October selection is “The Nature of Fragile Things,” by Susan Meissner. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 107.

Books and Coffee – 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at The Branch. Club meets every second Monday of the month at the Rodman Branch Library. Led by Charlene Duro, the selected title for October will be “Going There,” by Katie Couric. For more information, call 330-821-1313.
