The 4th annual event, which benefits the Trey Lindsey Scholarship Fund at the University of Tennessee at Martin, featured Clemens as the special guest.
Clemens, a pitcher with 354 wins and 4,672 strikeouts, is a seven-time Cy Young Award winner, whose career spanned 24 years with the Red Sox, Yankees, Blue Jays, & Astros. He was an 11-time All-Star and won two World Series with the Yankees.
The event consisted of a buffet dinner, a silent auction with sports/celebrity memorabilia, and hunting, vacation, and restaurant packages.
Trey Lindsey suddenly passed away on July 12, 2016, after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in wildlife biology. Trey's father, John Lindsey, established the scholarship in his memory for students majoring in wildlife biology at the university.
