Rollover crash temporarily blocks Fort Collins' College Avenue, Boardwalk Drive

A three-vehicle crash that left one of the involved vehicles on its roof temporarily snarled the busy intersection of South College Avenue and Boardwalk Drive in south Fort Collins.

Multiple emergency vehicles could be heard driving south on College Avenue toward the scene shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, as emergency radio transmissions signaled that responders were working to remove the occupant of one of the involved vehicles.

Multiple first-responders were in the area immediately after the crash, and Poudre Authority Firefighters had closed Boardwalk east of the intersection by 2 p.m. One patient had been extricated from one of the involved vehicles shortly after.

The crash limited traffic on Boardwalk in both directions and blocked all three northbound lanes of College. Traffic continued to flow on southbound College. Fort Collins police were using a drone to survey the scene shortly before 2:20 p.m.

By 2:35 p.m., responders began to clear the scene and move cones in preparation to reopen lanes of northbound College, which was reopened before 2:40 p.m.

Initial emergency transmissions seemed to indicate that those involved had escaped serious injury. An officer on scene confirmed that there were no major injuries associated with the crash.
