Rollover in Hockley County ends in death of Levelland teen
A Levelland teen has died after a rollover in Hockley County on Sunday, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
About 3:37 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, a 15-year-old from Levelland was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD on Hartford Road. The pickup went off the roadway and into a ditch on the west side.

The teen, who was not identified in the release, overcorrected to the right, causing the pickup to travel across the road and into the opposite ditch.

The pickup rolled, and the 15-year-old boy, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the site, the release stated.
