Rosario Dawson is officially cutting ties with the West Coast. According to the Los Angeles Times, her home in L.A. County’s seaside community of Marina Del Rey recently sold for $2.28 million within weeks of hitting the market. She moved cross-country in 2020 to live with her boyfriend, New Jersey senator Cory Booker.

The Rent star’s former three-story house includes a second-floor terrace and rooftop deck that both overlook the Ballona Lagoon, located just a couple of blocks away from Venice Beach and the Pacific Ocean. The home’s outdoor amenities include a saltwater pool and spa within the fenced-in backyard, as well as a waterfall and an outdoor shower.

Inside, the home is features a living room that converts into something of a home theater due to a built-in projector screen. Dawson reportedly added wide-plank hardwood floors and repainted the exterior in a crisp white shade during her time in the home. The Mandalorian star originally purchased the property for $1.83 million in 2015, per property records.

Booker mentioned during a municipal Zoom meeting last summer that Dawson, who he began dating in late 2018, was in the process of moving from L.A. to New Jersey; the senator confirmed in an October Buzzfeed News profile that Dawson had completed her move in late August, driving an RV cross-country from sunny SoCal to Booker’s home in the Central Ward of Newark.

“This is the first time in my life I've really lived with somebody—and obviously Rosario and I are enjoying and adjusting to that,” Booker said at the time, adding that their similarly hectic schedules leading up to the presidential election were bringing them closer together—despite also keeping them from unpacking all of her moving boxes. “Both of us need silence, so I’m in my office, trying to talk more quietly than I normally do on my Zoom, and she’s in the other room recording a long PSA for Iowa congressional candidate J.D. Scholten in Spanish. It’s happened multiple times, where we both just need quiet because we’re both doing reams of work. So I think we’re both bonding in that.”
